Through our 150-year history, JF&CS has helped people in many challenging situations, but our mission – our soul – has stayed the same: we help vulnerable populations.
JF&CS was made for difficult times. Born in the midst of the Civil War, we have sustained our community through two world wars, the Great Depression, and every conflict, epidemic, and economic and social upheaval of the past 150 years.
And we continue to adapt to new situations and the needs of the community. One of our unique talents is an ability to determine who in the community needs us most, and develop a plan of action that emphasizes empowerment and self-sufficiency. We look forward to another 150 years of helping and strengthening our community.
